The AdEdge Leadership Team is comprised of well-respected veterans of the water treatment industry and skilled professionals across many different disciplines. These managers have extensive experience in a wide range of disciplines including sales, engineering, business development, operations and the life sciences.
Rich Cavagnaro, Chief Executive Officer
Rich Cavagnaro, founder of AdEdge Water Technologies, LLC, has over 30 years of international business experience in strategic marketing, business development, product development, and commercialization of new products and services in a broad spectrum of industries. His experience spans industries such as catalysts, adsorbents, drinking water, process separations, paint & coatings, adhesive & sealants, pharmaceuticals and others. In 2013, Cavagnaro was recognized by the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce as Businessperson of the Year. He was the recipient of the 2018 Innovation Award by Partnership Gwinnett. That same year Rich was elected to participate on the Georgia District Export Council.
Greg Gilles, Vice President & Chief Technology Officer
Greg Gilles has over 30 years of treatment technology, industrial, regulatory, engineering and management experience. Gilles has written many publications and received awards for his accomplishments in the removal of arsenic from drinking water. In 2001, Gilles was presented the prestigious R&D 100 Award recognizing the top 100 innovations of the year, as well as the Innovative Technology Award from the Water Environment Federation for the development of arsenic removal systems. His experience includes senior management roles with General Motors and OHM Remediation Services Corp.
Cliff Nelson, Manager of Special Projects
Cliff Nelson has over 30 years working experience in the water treatment industry, including wastewater, potable water, pure and ultrapure water technologies. His experience includes equipment design and manufacture, process design, sales support and technical support. Additional experience includes the extensive design and fabrication of reverse osmosis and membrane treatment systems. Prior working experiences included equipment design engineering for in plant production processes, and machine tool and equipment design.
Tyler Butel, Vice President of Sales
An engineer by education, Tyler Butel holds patents for prosthetic device designs and has directed teams in creating specialized seatbelt restraint systems for emergency vehicles. Butel first exercised his passion for clean water by designing a water treatment kiosk system installed at wellheads in developing countries. In tandem with this effort, Butel became an AdEdge customer in 2014, joined the team as a Field Service Technician in 2016 and quickly transitioned to a Regional Sales Manager in 2017. Leveraging seven years of experience in water treatment, his creative problem solving, emotional intelligence and servant leadership, Butel now leads AdEdge’s sales team in bringing clean water to communities and helping industries achieve their water quality and stewardship goals.
Ronit Erlitzki, Ph.D., Director of Business Development & Innovation
Ronit Erlitzki’s career is based on strong scientific foundation and implementation of strategic and critical thinking. With more than 20 years of experience in biochemistry research and business development, Erlitzki's main interest is water and wastewater technology. Her goal is to accelerate the implementation of innovative clean technologies, focusing on improvement of sustainable solutions to environmental challenges. Erlitzki is a savvy water professional and has been successfully involved in the commercialization of several technologies in the field of water quality analysis, biological water treatment and high recovery reverse osmosis by utilizing a holistic approach for the introduction of innovation to the water treatment community. She is an active member of the ISBT Water Quality Committee and the AWWA Manganese Subcommittee.
Saqib Karori, P.E., Director of Project Management & Engineering
Saqib Karori has over 20 years of experience in the water treatment and infrastructure industry. He has strong technical knowledge of water and wastewater engineering from concept and design to execution. He has led multidisciplinary teams of engineering professionals to execute a variety of projects at AdEdge and in his prior roles. His project experience spans different project delivery techniques such as design/build, CMAR (construction management at risk) and conventional delivery. Karori also led the setup of India operations for AdEdge in collaboration with a local partner. Prior to AdEdge, Karori worked as a project manager for Westland Resources and at Peaks Engineering Services. Karori has also volunteered for several non-profit organizations such as Water for People and Engineers Without Borders.
Eric Nicol, Vice President of Operations and Procurement
Eric Nicol has over 23 years in the water treatment industry with extensive experience in operations, purchasing and project management. Prior to AdEdge, Nicol worked at Sunshine Water Treatment in Michigan, where he oversaw the residential water treatment product line and residential technical service division. Nicol held positions in project management and applications engineering at AdEdge prior to his current position. He has worked in the commercial, industrial and municipal markets.
Martin Lawrence, Manager of Applications Engineering
Martin Lawrence has been active in the water and wastewater treatment industry for more than 8 years. He helps communities find solutions to their water treatment needs across the country by leveraging a strong technical background developed as a process, applications and field engineer. Lawrence graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in chemical engineering.
Chris Clark, P.E., Continuous Improvement Process Manager
Chris Clark is manager of AdEdge’s Continuous Improvement Department. He joined AdEdge in 2016 to lead the development of the biological groundwater treatment product lines. Prior to AdEdge, Chris worked at De Nora Water Technologies as a senior engineer. Chris graduated from the University of South Florida with a degree in chemical engineering.
Kyle Young, Director of Manufacturing and Field Services
Kyle Young joined AdEdge in 2013. Prior to AdEdge, Young worked as a Class II water operator responsible for a 2 MGD (million gallons per day) surface water treatment plant in northern Georgia. Kyle graduated from the University of North Georgia with a business administration degree in management.
Carolyn Spencer, Human Resources Manager
Carolyn Spencer is the human resources manager at AdEdge. Prior to her role in HR, Spencer was AdEdge’s customer service manager and was responsible for AdEdge’s residential product line. Spencer is a SHRM-certified professional and a Chief Happiness Officer from Woohoo inc. She graduated from the University of Richmond with a degree in finance and management.
Beverly Dunnigan, Controller
Beverly Dunnigan joined AdEdge in 2008 to run and oversee the accounting department. Dunnigan oversees the production of financial reports, is responsible for cash flow and prepares the organization for its annual audit. She has more than 30 years of experience in public and private accounting.
Sue Scannella, Business Operations Manager
Sue Scannella joined AdEdge in 2010 to assist with AdEdge’s non-profit organization, Helping Hands for Water. After securing 501(c)(3) status, Scannella joined AdEdge full-time. Prior to becoming business operations manager, Scannella was the organization’s contract administrator. She graduated from Rider College with a degree in marketing and business.
